CADDAC does not investigate these clubs for their quality of care or understanding of ADHD. Please be aware that this needs to be done by you, the parent.
Please make sure that you investigate the programs, supervision and quality of care thoroughly. Most clubs are more than happy to supply you with an abundance of information as well as testimonials from past customers.

Ontario
Friendship Club – LDATDDoes your child have trouble making or keeping friends? LDATD's Social Skills and Socialization Programs are designed to provide the opportunity for developing important and positive peer relationships. A Social Skills/Socialization Program designed to teach children with learning disabilities and/or AD(HD) the concrete skills they need to make friends.

Creative Arts for Kids – LDATDThe Creative Arts is a great way for children with learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D build confidence in themselves and their abilities. The Creative Arts has shown to improve academic performance and build self-esteem. LDATD provides a specialized program to teach children about the various art forms through a structured an interactive year long program.
Ages: 5 to 13
Time: 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Mon. – 11 to 13 yr olds
Tues. – 8 to 10 yr olds
Wed. – 5 to 7 yr olds

Youth Group – LDATDWant to be a part of something cool, hip and happening?! Come join us for our Youth Group Lounge!! It’s a guaranteed fun FRIDAY night of new friends, skills and community happenings such as bowling and hanging out at the local coffee shop, just to name a few.
About the Program:
- Helps develop social skills, life skills and problem solving strategies
- Builds positive social relationships where self-esteem and self-confidence can develop
- Covers skills such as goal setting, self-awareness, bullying and peer pressure
Dates: 22 weeks from January 11 to June 21, 2013

Young Adult Group - LDATDAre you 18 to 24 struggling with friendships, post-secondary decisions, navigating the workplace or planning for the future? Come join us for our Young Adult Group Lounge!! It’s a guaranteed fun FRIDAY night of new friends, skills and community happenings.
About the Program:
- Helps develop social skills, life skills and problem solving strategies
- Covers topics such as being yourself, understanding relationships, and discovering career interests
- Provides opportunities to learn and share with each other
Dates: January 11 – March 22, 2013 (Social Skills focus), April 5 – June 14, 2013 (Employment, education and advocacy focus)

Mindfulness for Kids - LDATDDoes your child have trouble Concentrating or Focusing? The program is designed to teach children with learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D what mindfulness is and how it can be beneficial to them. They will learn ways to help them be present in the moment.
Ages: 8-12 years of age
Dates: October 4 – November 15, 2012, January 24 – March 7, 2013, April 4 – May 16, 2013
Time: Thursdays 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Cost: $175 per 7 week session

Keyboarding for Kids - LDATDThis program provides a comfortable and receptive environment where children can acquire keyboarding skills and also have fun at the same time.
Ages: 7-15 years of age

Training on Read and Write Gold or Kurzweil 3000 - LDATDThe goal of this program is to provide a comfortable and receptive environment where children can acquire skills in the use of assistive technology software such as Kurzweil 3000 and Read and Write Gold. Our program will guide children through the process with sensitivity to their individual needs. The courses will offer a “go at your own speed” opportunity for children.
Ages: 8-16 years of age
Dates: September – June (specific session dates within those months)

Cost: $150 per participant / $250.00 for child and parent

Smart Kidz Tutoring - LDATDThe goal of this program is to provide a comfortable and receptive environment where children can improve their academic skills. Our qualified and caring tutors are trained to understand and guide children through their academic work with sensitivity to their individual needs and our program is geared to recognize different learning styles. Children work at their own pace, and receive the necessary support in small groups of up to 3 children per tutor, and our tutoring is in line with the school curriculum as children are encouraged to bring their homework with them.
Group 1: Kindergarten – Grade 7 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Group 2: Grade 8 – 12 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.
Groups meet on Sundays

Organization and Study Skills Workshop – LDATDThis unique workshop is designed for students with Learning Disabilities and/or AD(H)D to help them develop their organization and study skills. The topics covered include organizing yourself and your environment, strategies for studying, using your computer and cell phone to stay organized, and how to prepare for tests and assignments.
Group 1: Gr. 6 - 8 Sunday, October 21st, 2012 2pm to 3:30pm
Group 2: Gr. 9 - 12 Sunday, October 28th, 2012 2pm to 3:30pm

Transitioning to High School Workshop – LDATDThis exciting workshop is designed for students with Learning Disabilities and/or AD(H)D who are making the transition from elementary to secondary school. This is an important step in a student’s education and there can be many challenges posed by this transition. This workshop will help students to better understand their LD/AD(H)D and learn how to advocate for themselves at school and beyond.

Parent Group – LDATDParents are children’s “first” and most significant teachers. Parent Group knows this! In Parent Group, Dr. Audrey Huberman, Ed. addresses pertinent topics and offers practical strategies for enhancing the social-emotional development of the exceptional child, particularly those with learning disabilities and/ or AD(H)D. Participants share their experiences and receive support and encouragement from like-minded others in a secure and confidential space.
Dates: Monthly meetings from January to June 2013 on Tuesday evenings
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Fees: $130.00 per person (10% discount for each subsequent registrant)
